Ingredients

  1. Nonstick cooking spray, butter or shortening, for greasing the pan
  2. One 18-ounce box corn muffin mix
  3. 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
  4. 1/4 cup sugar
  5. 1 cup milk or water
  6. 1 egg

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Grease two 8-inch square pans or loaf pans.
  2. Mix the corn muffin mix, flour and sugar together in a bowl. Add the milk or water and the egg and mix until combined. (The mixture may be slightly watery, but that’s good!) Pour into the prepared pans and bake until the middles are set and the cornbread is golden brown, 20 to 30 minutes. Let cool before serving.
