Especially if you’re from the South, you’ll adore this grits casserole with ground sausage and cheese. I cook it and then keep it warm in the slow cooker. Nothing is worse for breakfast than cold grits!

always, always love this salad
A good recipe that is easy to make. A great standby yummy.
THIS IS A FAIRLY GOOD RECIPE. MY FAMILY FOUND IT A BIT “HEAVY”, RICH, SO I ADDED 1/2 CUPP MILK, 2 PKG PUDDING MIX, 2 CUPS TOTAL WHIPPED CREAM, AND 2 SMALL CANS OF CRUSHED PINEAPPLE AND 1 CUP MINI MARSHMELLOWS. IT WAS LIGHT AND FLUFFY THEN AND WE EAT IT UP!! THANKX TO THE BASICS THO
Great refreshing dessert. Ideal for the summer. Family love, loved it.
This has been a favorite since childhood!!!
One of my all time favorites since I was a kid! I could eat the entire bowl! I like to use pistachios for the nuts.
I’ve been making this delicious treat for years. It’s really hard to not go back for seconds.
I tripled the recipe for a pot luck dinner. Everyone loved this light and fluffy dessert! Easy to put together–just make sure you blend all the ingredients thoroughly .
Made it a few months ago. PERFECT!! Making it again.
Delicious! Very easy to put together too! Took this to a birthday potluck and it was raved about! I did not put pecans in it as there were people with nut allergies at the birthday potluck.I’m taking the leftovers home and putting pecans on mine!
Super simple recipe and tastes fantastic! I’ve followed the recipe exactly (minus the nuts), and it’s great, but you can tweak to add more marshmallows or frozen whipped topping to meet your own tastes. I do omit the nuts, but that is a personal preference.

I have been making this salad for years. I use 2 cups of miniature marshmallows and skip the pecans, although they may add a lot. I think I’ll try them next time.
Always a go to recipe. Delicious and easy.
Great recipe!! The ingredients had me a little worried, but once it all came together…..delish!! Next time I think I would add a little more pecans- just because I love pecans. Thanks for this new recipe!!
Perfect as is.
My mom made this when we were kids and I still make it for holidays. I use colored marshmallows, makes it even prettier!
Awesome! I also add maraschino cherries to this, drained and some cut in half!
This is my husband’s favorite salad that has to be made at every holiday gathering or family get together. This is my exact recipe I’ve been making for years–it’s the perfect way to make Watergate Salad. Sometimes I swap walnuts for the pecans.
One of my top favorite “salads”. I don’t make it often anymore because I have NO willpower when it comes to this salad…….I will eat the whole bowl, a little at a time.
It’s delicious I used 1 ccan crushed pineapple and 1 can of tropical fruit and crushed it manually!!!!!
