Ingredients

  1. 2 cups whole milk
  2. 1 teaspoon peppermint extract
  3. 4 ounces good-quality semisweet chocolate, chopped
  4. 3 ounces peppermint schnapps, optional
  5. 2 full-size marshmallows, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Combine the milk and the peppermint extract in a medium saucepan. Heat until the milk is just starting to simmer. Remove from the heat and stir in the chocolate until melted and combined. Add the schnapps if using.
  2. Serve in mugs topped a marshmallow.
