  4. 1/4 cup diced bell pepper
  5. 1/4 cup diced celery
  6. 1 clove garlic, chopped
  7. 1 1/2 cups diced chicken

Bring to a boil, then reduce to a simmer and cook uncovered until the rice is tender, 20 to 25 minutes, stirring occasionally.

Super easy, and it tastes exactly like it should. I’m happy that it isn’t mushy like other jambalaya recipes.

I had to substitute diced tomatoes instead of tomato sauce,so that’s why it’s 4 stars. It is very good but I think the sauce would have made it a 5 star recipe.

Easy to make and can be a great side dish. Needs a kick, so I added thyme, pepper flakes and a pinch of cayenne.

Like most reviewers, we added more vegetables.  Good recipe, great jumping-off point!

I made it with a can of rotel instead of tomato sauce and added corn and mustard greens! Delicious! I also used Cajun seasoning and Tony’s, perfect pot!
