Ingredients

  1. 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  2. 1 cup all-purpose flour
  3. 1 cup organic sugar
  4. 1 teaspoon baking soda
  5. 1/4 teaspoon salt
  6. 3 eggs, lightly beaten
  7. 4 cups blueberries
  8. 4 peaches, skinned and chopped
  9. 1 lemon, juiced
  10. 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  11. 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  12. 2 tablespoons organic sugar
  13. 1 tablespoon vanilla extract
  14. Freshly grated cinnamon

Instructions

  1. For the cobbler: Preheat the oven to 425 degrees F. Using 1 tablespoon of the butter, grease a 9-by-13-inch baking dish.
  2. Chop the remaining 2 tablespoons butter into 1/2-inch cubes and set aside. In a separate bowl, add the flour, sugar, baking soda, salt and eggs. Mix together with a wire whisk until the dough just comes together.
  3. Add the blueberries and peaches to the greased baking dish. Drizzle the top with the lemon juice, sprinkle with the cinnamon and top with the remaining butter cubes. Drop the dough in large pieces onto the mixed fruit. Bake until the biscuits are just browned and the fruit is bubbling, 30 minutes.
  4. For the whipped cream: In a large, chilled stainless steel bowl, add the whipping cream, sugar, vanilla and cinnamon. Using an electric hand mixer, beat the cream for 1 minute on medium high. Place the bowl in the refrigerator until ready to serve.
  5. To serve the dessert, spoon some of the warm cobbler into a bowl, and top with a dollop of whipped cream.

I am surprised that this cobbler recipe made the website! The fruit was fine…but the crust was horrible! We even doubled it when we saw how little there was. It was very strange…almost inedible. I wasted money and time on this one. Too bad…like the show…hated the recipe!

I didn’t like the topping. It was kind of tough from all the eggs.

Was not crazy about this recipe. The topping was strange- eggy. I love the combination of peaches and blueberries. I also love watching Farmhouse Rules. Disappointed this time, but I will try other recipes and see what happens.

loved this. if I had to change one thing it would be the peaches. I would make it with a berry mixture next time. I served it warm with the awesome whip cream. I will definitely make this again.

My son and I made this recipe yesterday. All I can say is AWESOME! My family of 6 just ate it up and I may have to make a double recipe next time. Thanks again Nancy!

I have a tradition that if we are having family over, the kids need to make the dessert. Can’t express enough the wonderful sites seeing the kids make this and the SMILES on everyone’s faces as it was devoured. Another hit – THAKS NANCY!
