Yield: 6 to 8 servings

Ingredients

  1. 1 to 2 tablespoons olive oil
  2. 2 pounds store-bought pizza dough
  3. 1/2 cup plus 1 tablespoon marinara sauce
  4. 1/2 cup plus 1 tablespoon barbecue sauce
  5. 1 cup shredded rotisserie chicken
  6. 1 1/4 cups shredded yellow Cheddar
  7. 1 1/4 cups shredded pepper jack cheese
  8. 2 slices deli ham, diced
  9. 3 slices cooked bacon, crumbled
  10. 1/4 cup pepperoni
  11. 1/2 cup sliced red bell pepper
  12. 1/2 cup diced zucchini
  13. 1 plum tomato, thinly sliced
  14. 1/2 small red onion, thinly sliced

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 475 degrees F with a rack on the lowest rung.
  2. Drizzle the oil in a heavy, rimmed half-sheet pan and turn to coat the bottom. Add the dough and press and stretch to the corners with your fingers. (If the dough doesn’t go all the way to the corners, let it rest for 5 minutes, then once it has relaxed a bit, stretch again.)
  3. Combine 1/2 cup each marinara and barbecue sauce in a small bowl. Put the chicken in another small bowl and add the remaining tablespoon each of marinara and barbecue sauce. Toss to coat the chicken in the sauce.
  4. Spread the BBQ marinara mixture on the pizza crust, leaving about 1/2-inch border around the edge. Sprinkle with 1 cup each Cheddar and pepper jack. For the meat side, top with the chicken, ham, bacon and pepperoni. For the vegetable side, top with the bell pepper, zucchini and tomato. Scatter the red onion over both sides. Sprinkle both sides with the remaining 1/4 cup each Cheddar and pepper jack.
  5. Bake the pizza on the bottom rack until the crust is golden on the bottom and the top is browned and crusty, 25 to 30 minutes. Let cool in the pan for 5 minutes before cutting into squares to serve.

Lose the bbq sauce, zucchini, and chicken, other than that, great!

Not bad, not fantastic either. But who would have thought about zuchini on a pizza?. I may try this again but subbing pizza sauce. I bet this could be another great way to get people to eat more veggies

Obviously I have not eaten nor made this pizza but there is nothing Italian about this pizza with the exceptions of Pepperoni and the crust. Barbeque sauce, chicken, zucchini, cheddar and pepper jack cheese – Yuck
