Ingredients
- 12 slices bacon
- 2 bananas
- 1 cup mascarpone cheese
- 6 tablespoons chocolate-hazelnut spread
- 8 thick slices crusty white bread
- Salted butter, for the bread
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F. Arrange the bacon slices side by side on a parchment-lined baking sheet; bake until crisp, 15 to 18 minutes. Drain on paper towels.
- Meanwhile, place the bananas in a small bowl and mash with a fork until smooth. Fold in the mascarpone until combined.
- Spread a thick layer of chocolate-hazelnut spread on 4 bread slices, then top each with 3 bacon slices. Spread the banana-mascarpone mixture on the remaining 4 bread slices, then place on top to make 4 sandwiches.
- Spread butter on both sides of the sandwiches. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Working in batches if necessary, cook the sandwiches on each side until GBD-golden brown and delicious.

We have made this numerous times and it is amazing! I never would have put these ingredients together, but I’m happy Jeff did!
We didn’t care for this one at all. Cloyingly sweet. For me, the creaminess and sugar overwhelmed the crisp bacon and grilled bread. I took a few bites, trying to like it, but then gave the rest to my dog.
Just wiped the nutella off my 4 yr olds face and he says “this just the best sandich ever!” the husbeast says a slice of heaven! I loved ever bite! I was a bit unsure about it looking at the recipe but the pic was beautiful and the hubs reminded me that we had a ton of bacon so we went for it! I wouldn’t change a thing! (except make extras!)
Wow!!! We made this tonight and it’s AWESOME! I would never have put these ingredients together but they work perfectly! We used fresh crusty bread from a local bakery and when we grilled it, all the cheesy, sweet goodness oozed out. I’m am currently in a food coma! This is when you want dessert for dinner (or lunch!).
