This beautiful cake tastes of almond and chocolate and is very similar to pound cake.

Prep Time: 15 mins
Cook Time: 20 mins
Additional Time: 3 hrs
Total Time: 3 hrs 35 mins
Servings: 4

Ingredients

  1. ½ cup olive oil
  2. ¼ cup Worcestershire sauce
  3. 6 tablespoons soy sauce
  4. 3 tablespoons steak seasoning
  5. 3 tablespoons steak sauce (e.g. A-1)
  6. 2 tablespoons salt
  7. 1 tablespoon pepper
  8. 1 tablespoon crushed dried rosemary
  9. 12 cloves garlic, roughly chopped
  10. ½ medium onion, chopped
  11. 4 (10 ounce) Delmonico (rib-eye) steaks

Instructions

  1. Combine oil, Worcestershire sauce, soy sauce, steak seasoning, steak sauce, salt, pepper, and rosemary in the bowl of a food processor. Add garlic and onion; process until well blended.
  2. Prick steaks on both sides with a fork, then place into a large glass baking dish. Pour marinade over steaks, and flip steaks several times to coat. Cover and refrigerate for at least 3 hours, or overnight.
  3. When ready to cook, preheat an outdoor grill for medium heat and lightly oil the grate.
  4. Remove steaks from marinade and shake off excess. Discard remaining marinade.
  5. Place steaks on the preheated grill; cover and cook until beginning to firm and are hot and slightly pink in the center, about 10 minutes per side. An instant-read thermometer inserted into the center should read 140 degrees F (60 degrees C) for medium.
  6. You can use a smoker box on your grill and fill it with wood chips if desired.

This is now my favorite way to cook rib eyes! It was very good. Made the steak super tender and very flavorful. Just loved it!!!!

Perfect steaks! Going to try it on my New York strips next.

This recipe is excellent. I did not add the salt and I replaced the rosemary with thyme per reviews.

They were so good, you didn’t need any steak sauce with it. It had so much flavor and it was very tender as well. Will make again for sure.

OMG!! I would consider myself a great cook. The one thing I couldn’t get to taste amazing was steaks, until I found this recipe! Moist and full of flavor!! Thank you!!

Superb marinade! I didn’t use the salt and couldn’t add onions thanks to a recent recall. It was still excellent, maybe even better especially without the salt. My opinion, no need for the food processor step either, just whisk marinade ingredients together. I will use this on all choice cuts from now on.

ABSOLUTELY AMAZING AS IS!! I read so many reviews stating this recipe was too salty, then realized they hadn’t actually tried it with the salt, just assumed it would be too much. I made this recipe EXACTLY as written and it was incredible. I marinated delmonico steaks for about 8 hours, then chopped them into kebab sized pieces and continued to marinate 2 more hours. I like salt but my bf doesn’t. I made him 2 steaks, assuming I’d use one for sandwiches the next day. He ate both and said it was the best marinade he’s ever had. The thing to know is that it’s all about osmotic pressure. You need to give the salt on the steaks time to draw the juices out, then suck them back in with all the flavor (there are videos on the internet about how to do this). The only thing I really want say/complain about, is that the recipe just says salt. You MUST use coarse kosher or sea salt. Table salt is way, way too salty. I happened to have some lovely coarse, maplewood smoked salt and it added a nice smoky hint. The steaks were so tender they just melted in your mouth. We usually don’t marinate our steaks, but will be making this again and again. Wow.

This was delicious!

I love this marinade! Can’t grill steaks without it!

Was way too salty. The “2 TB of salt” was too much, considering the salt in the soy sauce and Worcestershire sauce.

YUMMY

I had planned for this for Father’s Day, after a short 4 hrs to marinate. It developed into a much delayed dinner. Ended up in marinade for 48hrs+. We both agreed, it was the best. Excellent. The steaks were so tender & flavorful, we can’t stop talking about how great it was. Thank you for posting. YUM!!

I made it the other night n making tonight – I don’t like rosemary so eliminated that and didn’t add the salt cuz there’s salt in soy sauce n Worcester sauce. But it was delicious

skipped the salt & pepper in the marinade. Added 2 T Brown sugar. Sub Bob’s BBQ sauce for steak sauce. Definitely will make again.

Wow! Can’t wait to make again. I was feeling lazy and didn’t want to clean my food processor so I just chopped my onions super fine and put all ingredients in a plastic container and marinated for 24-hours. My husband hates marinades on steak but always orders the Delmonico at our fancy steak restaurant so was really happy that he loved my “at home” version.

This was great just as written. Came out with some tasty blackened bits and succulent insides. Nice.

AMAZING! Left out salt and rosemary. Used Action Jackson’s Super Hero Sauce instead of A-1. Blended in Nutrabullet. Looked frothy and weird but is AMAZING!

This was good, but I left out the steak seasoning and the salt. I could not justify the salt and steak seasoning along with the soy sauce and steak sauce . . . talk about a sodium overload. Could that possibly be a typo? Since I wanted to make a marinade, not a rub, that’s what I went with. I did add a bit of Mrs. Dash–no salt in that–and this steak was enjoyed by all, including my 3 1/2 year old. We used some of it in fajitas, and that was delicious. I’m making again this week. Thanks for the recipe!
