Excellent! I didn’t put any orange juice, I used 1 liter of ginger ale instead and about 1 cup of black berry brandy. Delicious!
love this recipe. i have made it over and over again. every summer i wait for a hot summer evening so i’ll have an excuse to start my spicey simple sugar. i follow the recipe for the simple sugar exactly but i do add more fruit… in particular ..my favorite…sweet bing cherries. be sure you invite over a friend or you will suddenly realize the pitcher is empty and you’re the only one in the room!
This is a fabulous recipe for red sangria!
This has got to be the most delicious Sangria I have ever tasted! So simple to make! It is SO WORTH gathering all the ingredients..especially the vanilla bean (which you can use over for other batches..DON’T THROW IT OUT!) Summer in a glass!
This my new favorite addition to the Holidays! The aroma reminds me of autumn and it is just delicious and everyone loved it. I am making it again next week and I think I will add another half bottle or so of the wine to make it a bit stronger.
