I followed this recipe to the letter. It is not good. How can something with mascarpone and chocolate be awful? Make this and see. It’s a bizarrely dry consistency like a dense dry cake and it’s painfully sweet. Do yourself a favor and make the ganache and pour that over ice cream. Skip the brownies altogether. There has to be a better recipe than this.
I feel if your going to give a recipe the title of best ever, it better knock your socks off. To be honest it has good flavor, but should be in a cake category. By no means is this a brownie it does not have the gooey chewy affect a brownie should have. If you are looking for a good dessert with a side off ice cream this would qualify. Otherwise don’t make if your expecting to have brownies, you may be disappointed.
Sheesh, these were the strangest brownies I’ve ever eaten. They definitely had a great dark chocolate taste but they were light and pretty dry. I like somewhat dense and very moist brownies and these just weren’t that. Any brownie worth its salt should not need a layer of stuff on top so I didn’t make the ganache and I’m not sure it would have helped the dryness anyway. I think they are a long way from being the “best ever chocolate brownie”.
I loved these! They are so moist! I didnt put the cheese in because I didn’t have any but I still loved them! I actually microwaved them for 10 minutes, and they turned so delicious!
I am definitely making these again, soon!

Best ever chocolate brownie I reckon !
Made this brownie and everyone loved it. Very chocolaty and moist. Added 2/3 cup of chopped walnuts. Do ensure to let the cake set before cutting; Serve with fresh raspberry, vanilla ice-cream and drizzle of caramel sause…you can imagine how happy and pleased my guests were when they ate the brownies… 🙂

These are very dark choclate. Which I love. They are like a cross between fudge candy & cake. They were very easy to make. I will make them again & again.
I don’t know why people are giving this recipe less than a 5 rating, maybe they don’t know how to bake. I’ve made these several times with the ganache, and wherever I bring these babies they are all eaten up within minutes. I have yet to find a better brownie recipe. These rock!
i thought-and the rest of my co-workers agreed-they were fabulous, they were sooo chocolately, definitely not for kids but so ooey gooey delicious CHOCOLATE lovers brownie for sure.
Otherwise, they would have been tasteless blocks of lead!!! Definitely NOT an Ina recipe!!
nice soft and rich with chocalate
