Ingredients

  1. 10 egg yolks
  2. 1 cup white sugar
  3. 2 to 3 tablespoons flour
  4. 4 tablespoons vanilla
  5. 4 cups milk
  6. 3 bunches bananas sliced
  7. Toasted almonds, for garnish
  8. Shaved chocolate, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Separate eggs. Beat yolks, sugar, flour, and vanilla together. Heat milk in double boiler. Add a little milk to eggs to temper the mixture. Add custard ingredients back into the saucepot and cook for 5 to 10 minutes until it becomes thick; be careful not to burn the mixture. Layer the sliced bananas into an oval baking dish and cover with a layer of custard, repeat process until all ingredients have been used. Finishing with the custard. Serve in an oval or square dish and garnish with toasted almonds, and shaved chocolate.
