This is a perfect simple recipe. Ignore any of the negative reviews – if you use the measurements suggested it comes out perfectly.

My experience with this recipe as a first time mac dish is it didnt come out well. I doubled the serving to feed everyone in my family and it was dry (most likely because of me) and not enough cheese. I would reccomend adding more cheese IMO. I also dont like how theres no instructions for salt measurment. I had to guess.
i would like to remake this to my likings because im sure it tastes better than what i previously done it

I just made this recipe, because it’s exactly the way my grandmother would her mac and cheese…and it came out perfect. The only thing I did different was use a little less milk and added an extra egg yolk, to make it more dense. In fact, it was the first time my boyfriend tried mac and cheese from scratch, and he loved it! Anyway, great simple recipe! Thank you for the memories!

I made this recipe. Instead I’d regular milk I used whipping cream. It makes it creamier and doesn’t come out runny. I also added more cheese, because my family are cheese lovers.

Tried it and it came out super runny. Super disappointing. I’d suggest either using 1c of milk or adding one more egg. Season however you like.

I read some reviews before making it and I have decided to use 1 cup of milk and doubled the cheese plus some paprika. It turned out so good/delicious that I have made it two days in a row! My kids no longer ask for mac and cheese from wifesavers. Fantastic recipe! Thank you!
