I love white chocolate and orange. However, after reading some reviews, I increased the orange zest and included the juice from the orange. I used the zest of an entire large orange and almost all of the juice from the large orange and a dash of vanilla. I would recommend tasting your wet ingredients mixture to decide how much more to add to your liking.

So good

the recipe is great, but add 1/2 tablespoon of orange extract. The zest just doesn’t give enough orange

This recipe was Ok but I think has potential of becoming really good. I could not add the orange zest but noticed it a bit grainy and cakey. The suggestions of using butter and shortening are great and should make up for the grainy texture. Some came out flat which was fixed by chilling the batter. I also used a lot less sugar than the recipe calls for as the white chocolate is already very sweet. Will make it again but with the suggestions plus hopefully next time I have the orange and its juice to add!

Great recipe – I made a slight variation, with lime instead of orange. I added a half line worth of juice as well as peel, but I think the whole lime would have been better. Perfect cookies!

1.30.21 … https://www.allrecipes.com/recipe/11278/white-chocolate-orange-cookies/ … Jennifer, thanks for the good cookie recipe! Yes, some adjustments. I hope it doesn’t bother you too much. This isn’t m’first batch of cookies. 🙂 More sugar – 1 1/4c only white, 1/2c plain yogurt for the egg (Oops. ‘Should’ve been 1/4c), 1t orange extract for the zest, 1t baking soda, 1t baking powder, 1 1/2c white chocolate chips. Wow, listing all that I’m feeling a little low. Good cookies, but a bit greasy & spread too much even though I chilled overnight. ‘More flour, 3/4c? & maybe half butter, half shortening next time.

I followed some of the other suggestions and used just 2 cups of flour, 1/2 tsp baking soda, 1/4 tsp of baking powder, zest of whole orange. Didn’t put in the nuts because the wife doesn’t like them. They are now her favorite cookie. Next year I might try this recipe with lemon zest.

These are amazing, as is, no issues with the recipe.I like to make a recipe as written, 1st, then 2nd time make my own twists. So,, 2nd time around, I used almost 3tbs of Orange zest, 2 tbs Orange juice, and I dry roasted the walnuts Before adding them to the batter.I used the 3/4tsp Baking soda, as Original recipe, and added 1/4 Baking Powder.EXCELLENT, results!! ENJOY

Read all the reviews, but realized sticking to the original would be best – and, it did not disappoint!! Thus will be my favorite special cookie. So delicate in texture and flavour.

My husband’s favorite cookie!

No changes made. My new favorite recipe!

Oh my, these are delicious! I love anything citrusy. I took a tip from someone and squeezed the orange into the batter for extra zip. My only complaint is they were a bit crumbly.

Huge hit!

These cookies are incredible when made with macadamia nuts, so gave only 4 stars for original recipe. I subbed 1 tsp orange extract for the zest because I had it on hand. The combination of the white chips, macadamia and orange flavours is so awesome! The cookies are soft inside and so good! A new favourite.

I do have a tiny bit of criticism….waaayyy too many white chocolate chips. I love me some white chocolate but holy cow these things had soooo many. It felt like I needed some batter with my chips! However they do taste wonderful!
