This is basically a “fool” —a simple dessert my mother made a thousand times way back in the 1950’s . I have made this and variations on the theme forever—- well at least for a very long time. Make this recipe with real whipped cream——-so much more tasty than the artificial stuff.

Ugh. So good but too runny

Very easy to make and refreshing. Used 1 pound fresh strawberries vs frozen and made whipped cream instead of frozen whipped topping. Had no issues with firming. Loved the tang of the lime, next time will probably add a little more lime juice.

Super easy and great taste, my son and I loved it. Would definitely make it again!

My family loved this! I only had frozen mixed berries so I used that. And because other comments said theirs was runny/watery I excluded the additional sugar. Turned out perfectly! Light, creamy, fruity and refreshing.

I would have given this five stars, but as some of the other reviewers mentioned, I followed the recipe exactly and it is too runny, though the flavor is delicious.  I will make it again but need to firm it up some.  I think I’ll try to add more strawberries?  Also, just a side note:  I am so enjoying the shows that Ree and her kids are doing sans a professional film crew. Get to see the real deal and she’s so likeable.  Love her shows.

Great desert.  Husband loved it.  I’ll add sliced strawberries next time as a garnish along with the cookies.

It tasted yummy but mine was a little runny. I thought it would firm up in the fridge.

I used left over strawberries from making jelly. I froze the left over berries. I used chocolate Graham crackers because that’s what I had in my house. This was so delicious!! My family loved it!
