  2. One 8-ounce package cream cheese, at room temperature
  3. 3/4 cup mayonnaise
  4. 1 cup freshly grated sharp Cheddar
  5. 1 cup freshly grated Swiss
  6. 1/4 cup blue cheese crumbles
  7. 8 slices regular-cut bacon, fried crisp and chopped fine
  8. 4 green onions, sliced, green and white parts
  9. 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
  10. 1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  11. 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  12. 1/8 teaspoon cayenne

Add the bacon, toasted almond slivers, 3/4 of the sliced green onions, salt, pepper, garlic powder and cayenne. Stir together with a rubber spatula until evenly combined.
  3. Transfer to a serving dish, cover with plastic wrap and chill for at least 4 hours.
  4. Garnish with the remaining green onions and serve with crackers and corn chips.

Mr. Steven Boyer MD
Excellent recipe! I was out of cayenne and used harissa it was awesome. My guests couldn’t stop eating it! Served with crackers and fresh veggies for dipping.

Made as written, but added a couple squirts of sriracha. Delish! Was pretty thick to stir by hand, so I threw it in my food processor to really blend it. Adding the almonds and green onions after. Definitely a keeper!

This would be great on a baked potato!

Made the recipe exactly as written. Very tasty. Does seem more like a cheese ball than a dip. No matter what you call it……absolutely delicious!

I used pecans instead of almonds. Guests loved it.

Love this recipe!  Great year round!

My almonds had gone stale, so i skipped them. And i couldn’t find the cayenne pepper, so i used a sprinkle of crushed red pepper. Used Gruyere instead of Swiss. Other than that-i followed the recipe.  🙂  i think it turned out great, don’t know how you can go wrong with bacon and blue cheese.  We will be enjoying it this afternoon during the football game.

Too salty

I left out the almonds, green onions and cayenne and exchanged the blue cheese for gruyere The family loved it with garlic Ritz and Chicken in the Bisquet crackers. Much better warmed up.

This was a huge hit at our family seafood boil. Everyone wanted the recipe. It was very easy to make (be sure to make ahead) and easy clean up.
