Ingredients
- 1/2 cup full-fat Greek yogurt
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
- 1/4 cup chopped fresh dill
- 3 tablespoons harissa
- 2 tablespoons sambal
- 2 tablespoons rice wine vinegar
- 1 tablespoon grated garlic
- Zest and juice of 2 lemons
- Kosher salt and freshly cracked black pepper
- About 2 quarts neutral oil, for frying
- 2 1/2 pounds chicken wings
- Sliced scallions, for garnish
Instructions
- In a large bowl, whisk together the yogurt, parsley, dill, harissa, sambal, rice wine vinegar, garlic and lemon zest and juice. Season generously with salt and pepper and set aside.
- In a deep, heavy-bottomed pot, heat the oil over medium-high heat until it reaches 375 degrees F. Fit a baking sheet with a wire rack.
- Season the wings with salt and pepper. Fry in batches until very crisp and golden brown, 8 to 12 minutes. Use a slotted spoon or spider to remove the wings to the prepared baking sheet and, while the wings are still hot, season with more salt.
- Once all the wings are fried, place them in a large bowl and toss with 1/4 cup of the sauce. Transfer the wings to a large platter, garnish with sliced scallions, drizzle generously with more sauce and serve the remaining sauce alongside for dipping.

These were good. I did agree it needed some honey to balance out the flavors, but will definitely make again.
It needs something sweet and more heat for me. So I added soy sauce, gochujang paste and brown sugar; BABY BYE!!! Off the chain!!?
Absolutely amazing! This sauce is bomb!
Thank you GZ!!!! Absolutely delicious!!!!!!!!! Did add honey to cut down on the heat! Family devoured them!!!
This recipe was absolutely delicious and complex. I did not have fresh dill so I used 1/4 cup cilantro and 3/4 teaspoon of dehydrated dill. Wow, wow, wow!!! My new favorite wing sauce!!!
I made these today for the Super Bowl. I used frozen wings and baked them instead of frying them. Some of the best wings we have ever had! The flavors are amazing!
Really tasty. Had to add a load of honey though to chill the heat (and I’m not afraid of heat btw☝) ‘cause the straight up recipe for the sauce was very spicy. The honey added a fantastic compromise. My hubby and boys loved it!
Made this for Super Bowl watching. Instead of deep frying I baked the drummies the night before (400 for 30 min) and stored in frig. Finished them off in the air fryer at serving time (375 for 10 min). Used Thai chili sauce and Siracha (I am not over Siracha yet) instead of Harrisa and sambal which have not yet been thought of in my local grocery. Great recipe and a very tasty treat. Not super spicy but lots of flavor.
Fantastic! Made these for the Super Bowl! The flavors pop when it hits your lips!
Just made this for Super Bowl and it is delicious!!!!!! Love spicy food and I love wings so this seemed perfect. It was incredibly delicious but it does make a lot of sauce and I cut the recipe in half for 12 wings and it was perfect with sauce left over!!!! Ugh perfection
