Great recipe! I have been trying to find a way to make key lime pie not so sweet. This one is perfect. I used regular greek yogurt to eliminate the sweetness and it worked well. Plus, yogurt eliminates all the calories – instead 1,300 calories in one can of sweetened condensed milk (I used to use 2 cans, I get 150 in one cup of yogurt. I have to say: great idea to use yogurt. The taste is great! Actually even better than other recipes!
i really think that its very creative to use the greek yogurt and plus its alot more healthier . i reallylove the idea to use other products then the usual recipe.
I tried this using the small (individual portion graham cracker crusts because I wasn’t too sure about how the filling would set up using yogurt vs. cream cheese. The filling set really well after baking and chilling for an hour. It was lighter…. but tasted great! I used the Oikos organic Greek (vanilla yogurt. Had to use regular sweetened condensed milk because I didn’t have the low-fat available. The pie filling was enough for approx. 8-9 mini graham cracker crusts. Would definitely make again.
