I tried this recipe for dinner, and it was just ok. First, 2 onions is wayyyy to many onions, i used 2 2-3 inch onions and they just overpowered everything. and the gravy needed flavor, soo bland.
I added garlic powder and a sprinkle of crushed red pepper for a little kick, better.
This recipe, as it is, is pretty bland. I like interesting and complex tasting food, so I had to add some stuff to the gravy. Some more spices (pepper, oregano, red pepper), onions, garlic, etc. made it better.
These were easy and good. I added in some garlic.
I just had these pork chops and they were wonderful. After is saute the onions I added thickly sliced apples and let them all cook together. Wonderful fall idea since I had so many apples on hand. Be sure to use a very hard apple such as macouns or whatever you harvest in your area. Be sure to use a large pan because as the apples cook you get more juice in the gravy. I used two large apples.

This receipe was fairly easy to fix and so tasty. I served over egg noodles. The chops were super tender and the family loved it. I cook for two other families and used this recipe. It was a hit. Will certainly use again.
This recipe is very easy, but the flavor makes it seem much more complex. I recommend substituting bacon grease for the vegetable oil.
This is the easiest recipe I have found for smothered pork chops. The chops were tender and the gravy was smooth. However, maybe I should have used a different seasoning salt or maybe more of it because I would have liked a little more flavor in the gravy.
I love smothered pork chops so I tried this easy recipe. The gravy was just too bland. We added garlic and Mrs. Dash original.
It’s totally awesome. I loved it the first moment i put the pork chop into my mouth. It’s really tender and good.
This recipe is so simple I figured that it would just be ok…….. I was pleasantly surprised to find that it is really quite wonderful. Pork chops are tender and gravy very tasty. Not to mention so very easy to prepare… With mashed potatoes a true “comfort food” meal.
