When I was a child, my grandparents would set up a tent at their lake house and let my cousins and I pretend that we were going camping. To make us feel like we were actually camping, Grandma would always bake these treats and bring them out to us. The texture of the banana is altered by roasting, becoming nearly pudding-like. Here is a version I modified using an air fryer.

Total Time: | 11 mins |
Servings: | 2 |
Yield: | 2 banana boats |
Ingredients
- 2 bananas
- 2 squares graham crackers, broken into small pieces
- 2 tablespoons semisweet chocolate chips
- 2 tablespoons miniature marshmallows
Instructions
- Preheat an air fryer to 400 degrees F (200 degrees C) according to manufacturer’s instructions.
- Slice the bananas lengthwise, making sure not to cut through the bottom peel. Slightly open the bananas to form a pocket.
- Divide graham crackers, chocolate chips, and marshmallows between the 2 pockets. Set banana boats in the air fryer basket.
- Air fry until boats have blackened and marshmallow are toasted, about 6 minutes.
